Little is known about this Wichita, Kansas, singer. What is known was gleaned from the sleeve notes of her three albums. “Sunlight Shadow” is from her first, There’s More To Living Than I Know So Far. She was “discovered” at an Inter-Varsity Missionary Conference that took place just before Christmas, 1967, in Urbana, Illinois. The album was recorded in 1969 at RCA studios in Chicago for Inter-Varsity Records, home to the equally obscure Jonathan & Charles. Rich’s vocals are spot on, both delicate and strong as they dance over Ron Steele’s arrangement. The complete lack of current information about Linda Rich has been no match for the hundreds of curious fans who have spent the last decade inquiring about her through Inter-Varsity’s Downers Grove, Illinois, office.
