Until January 2007, this early rap nugget was catching mildew on a shelf in Jacksonville, Florida, completely unknown and unreleased. We found it on a reel marked simply “Rub A Dub,” and were instantly hooked on its infectious whistles, key steps, and synth vamps. Oh, and the unrelenting eight-minute rhyme assualt didn't hurt either. From the archives of Jeremiah Yisrael's Tap and Universal labels, little is known about the three mysterious rappers, but we know they were from the Bronx, and one might be named Nick Barnes.
