Granny 9x

The only official single from Seam’s brilliant 1992 debut Headsparks, “Granny 9X” is the nearly five-minute, jangly slow core burner that closes the album. The song finds guitarist/vocalist Sooyoung Park at his most emo, with heart-on-the-sleeve passages like: “I rode my bike to the edge of the world and I shouted at the sky / Til’ I cried I threw my bike in the river watched it sink into the night.” The flip continues where No Pocky For Kitty left off, with Mac tackling the Television Personality’s “Look Back In Anger” in sloshing, pop punk manner.
