You And Me Baby b/w To Love Someone (That Don't Love You)

Originally known as the Kelderons, the Crane High alums led by brothers Darrow and Ronnie Kennedy, with Allen Brown and John Banks cut just one single, issued on Twinight in 1970. A typo changed the band’s name permanently when the 45 came back listing the artist as the Kaldirons. Produced by Chicago stalwart Jimmy Jones, “You And Me Baby” and “To Love Someone (That Don’t Love You)” were tracked on the fly during an off-the-cuff session at Syl Johnson’s studio. The dead-on-arrival single was promo’d and expeditiously shelved. Shortly after, the group changed their name to The Final Solution, who tracked a shelved soundtrack for the never-made Brotherman blaxploitation move.
