Within a year, “You Sexy Thing” would crash the Billboard Top 10 and Lou Ragland’s Hot Chocolate would go down as a discographical hanging chad. Now seven members strong, the group began flying banners with their new title, Seven Miles High, at gigs, and Lou positioned the acronym S.M.H. on the label of his new imprint. New versions of “What Should I Do” and “Understand Each Other” (which first appeared on the self-titled debut and on Live From Agency, respectively) were cut over at Cleveland Recording with Ken Hamann for the A and B sides of S.M.H.’s inaugural release.
