Rediscovered in the depths of the Cuca tape archive, Patti Whipp’s only recorded work found success on the radio waves of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, only to fade away with the end of summer. Just 17 at the time, Patti recorded two dreamy folk tracks for release on an emerging local label, Tevar Records. Founded by the Ravet brothers in 1969, the Tevar label released just two 45s before slipping into oblivion. Remastered from the original master tape, which sat at the Cuca pressing plant for nearly 50 years, awaiting your discovery.
