Plenty of people have dreams of making music, few actually compose in their dreams. Pete Sivo was a self-taught musician who frequently woke up in the middle of the night to scribble down his latest vision. The result was 1981’s Everyday, recorded by New Jersey power pop guru Tom Marolda and released on Sivo’s own Ovis imprint. Meg Tobias anticipates Trish Keenan’s Broadcast project by 15 years on “What Can I Do.” Further explorations may disappoint the less adventurous listener.
