Spilling

It would seem that “Spilling” was of a piece with “Fortunate One,” at first: two basses, a drum set, a big live room, nothing else. But the Uis had an abundance in 1997, and the gang dialed in Wilbo’s horn session from the Uilab dates and laid in a cold brass line where before there was none. Waldmann also added a hi-hat pattern (live, no overdub) taken from a Can song. Points for track ID, though it is hardly obscure. A model of tension and melody and stone cold MAINTENANCE !!
