The first single from Unwound’s difficult 1998 album Challenge For A Civilized Society was hardly a single at all. Clocking in at 10 minutes, The Light At The End of The Tunnel Is A Train is more sampler than radio hit, a winding journey through their fifth album’s more adventurous concepts. The title track’s fourth movement is dub version of “All Souls Day,” with Sara Lund’s monster break providing an unexpected groove over the new age hypno babble.
