Before inventing slowcore with Codeine, Stephen Immerwhar was a home 4-tracker exploring the margins of post-post-punk. The hand-dubbed cassette compilation Bigheads Burst emerged in 1990 as his first proof of concept. Featuring the first eight Codeine songs—two of which are previously unissued, Bigheads Burst also includes demos from Seam's Sooyoung Park, K4ss, and One Eyed Cat. Edition of 300.
