Among Sequoia's many quirks is the trimming down of Bells on Trike's 1996 10" to a 2-song 7"—A bite size teaser of an EP that regularly commands ~$200. The Richmond, Virginia-based quartet were grown in the same soil that that sprouted Avail, Hose.Got.Cable, and Sleepy Time Trio, but brought a midwest twinkliness to their graft. The aforementioned Ride 'Em Cowboy-issued 10" was barely in print, and we're aiding the rage bait here with a 300-copy expanded LP that includes the previously unissued demo "Noville." Housed in a handscreened chipboard jacket, There Went Nothing includes an 11x18" insert with lyrics and photos from this overlooked second wave emo morsel.
